JpegGuard – Software to Protect Your Images
Images, as the old saying goes, are worth a thousand words. Why tell your friend Bob what a great time you had partying at the new club, when you can show him the pictures you took. Those pictures will help him get a better idea of how much fun you had.
The thing is that some images you will want to share with others – like the images from the party I mentioned above. Other images you would much rather keep away from prying eyes. The easiest way to make sure no one will ever see those images is to erase them. But what if you want to keep the images, and on top make sure no one lays their eyes on them?
This is where specialized software applications come in. One such software application is the Zapper Software-developed JpegGuard. Zapper Software was founded by software developer William Bradshaw. Just to put things in perspective, William Bradshaw has been coming up with great piece of software ever since the 80s.
Getting back to JpegGuard, you should know that the download weighs in at little over 2MB, meaning the download will complete in no time at all, even on a lousy internet connection. The installation process will go at an equally rapid pace – just follow the instructions in the setup wizard and everything will go along smoothly. Speaking of installing software applications, JpegGuard will work with all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system.
Sure it will, but what can it do? As the name so adequately points out, JpegGuard will protect your JPEG image files. It does this by detecting JPEG files, encrypting them and then putting a password on the encryption. The files will be decrypted only when the correct password is provided. While the image files are encrypted, they cannot be accessed and viewed by prying eyes.
It is a good software program to have if you want to ensure no one will see those embarrassing pictures of you – you know the ones. It’s also a good software application to have if you want to protect your adult-oriented collection of pictures – just in case junior uses your computer.
